Sometimes when im running a large batch of updates I can forget I have updates running or tab out for extended periods of time, leading me to miss the enter sudo password prompt, failing updates.

some form of sound to play or a notification to appear to notify the user that something needs their attention

running a secondary process reading the yay/pacman logs.
