some variables will add measurements to calculate averages and standard deviations while others will also have an inherent measurement error (e.g. the sdev of a single 500ms analog signal integration) - consider RunningStats being able to also receive an inherent error and being able to propagate it for the mean and then report both the statistical and propoagated error --> report both online if available, 2 differnet database fields
