To convert Docbook XML to HTML in the CK editor, a feature icon must be created that, when clicked, opens a popup with a textarea for XML input. After submission, any formatting errors in the XML will be reported, while successful conversions will add the HTML to the CK editor. The converted HTML will be pasted at the user's selected location or at the beginning if no selection is made, ensuring proper formatting is preserved.
