Cutscene after investigating Anna's corpse in the morgue mutes audio

The cutscene that plays immediately after checking Anna's corpse loses all audio after a few seconds into the cutscene. I noticed this during the original 0.1 release too. I attached a save file for ease of testing.

Thanks for the save, that's exactly what I needed (and you even packed both region folders, nice).

Since it already happened in 0.1, this is most likely the XMA stream for that scene tripping something in the decoder rather than anything from the newer builds - a packet layout it doesn't like, a loop point, that sort of thing. I'll load your save, run the morgue scene with audio logging on and see where the stream stops. Will report back here.

The same thing happens when you're profiling during the investigation of the tree where Anna's corpse was found.

I was gonna report this, too :-) Had this happen on 1.0 and 1.1. I am playing the EU version. For me it happens about 3 sentences in. The sentence (ending with the word "death") is spoken completely and right after that all audio is gone.

Two reports, both regions, same spot, and it dies right after a specific line - that's a very reproducible bug, which is the good kind. Thanks both.

Losing all audio (music and effects too, not just the voice) after one particular line says the game's audio mixer itself stops, not just that stream: most likely something in the voice stream that ends with "death" (its last packet, a loop point, a stream switch) makes the decoder return an error and the game's mixer thread never recovers from it. The tree profiling scene hitting the same thing fits: same voice-streaming path.

I have the morgue save now and will run it with audio logging on to see exactly what the decoder chokes on. Will report back.
