Hi @thismarty, great suggestion ??ForkLift's vertical split is really nicely done. That said, we're not planning to add it in the near term. Span's dual-pane was designed around a horizontal layout from the start, so adding vertical mode would mean refactoring the split system to be orientation-aware throughout ??more risk than we'd like to take on without stronger demand. Not a hard no, though. If more users chime in here, we'll absolutely revisit. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! |

i second the suggestion from @thismarty right now the side-by-side pane is ok, but quite a hassle when moving files between folder if one is using a smaller screen (eg. laptop/notebook). the vertical split that we both suggested is useful that u can still keep the window at half the size and not have it obscure any other windows in case there's a need to reference at some info while moving/copying files but still, SpanFinder is some really awesome work @LumiBearStudio . |

The current split view is very useful but it might benefit from a vertical option, such as is featured in the macOS app 'ForkLift.'
