A reusable terrain pipeline that extracts, per sub-catchment, the hillslope geometry setting recession timescales: drainage network / contributing areas, characteristic hillslope length L, and slope β, from a DEM via flow routing.

Feeds the recession τ/b prior work. Lakes are out of scope here — terrain-derived lake routing needs different (newer) algorithms and plugs into the lakes layer, so it is a separate issue.

Consumed by: the recession τ/b priors issue (geometry + POLARIS → τ, b).
