Bar on right side too skinny and cannot be resized

The buttons don't have tooltips when hovering either, so I'm having to look at screenshots from the website to know what they do.

nearly every other tab the buttons are so small there isn't any text at all.

If this is due to DPI settings on your desktop, then it might come down to the version of Java you are running (later versions are better at this than Java 1.8).

Which version of Java are you running with Doomy? You can also get this version info from "Help" > "About Java..." in the menus.

And this is a 1920x1200 screen with 150% scale on Fedora Workstation 43.

Noting for myself - there may be a solution to try for all GUI projects via this JVM option: -Dsun.java2d.dpiaware=false. Apparently, Swing already says it's DPI-aware (even when some of it isn't) and it causes problems in Windows (and probably other windowing systems).

It looks like even if I set scale to 100%, the full text of the buttons still don't fit, despite the text being unreadably small.

Ignore the messed up titlebar, it's just from changing the scale while the program is running.

I made a small tweak to system properties for making the OS set the proper DPI settings. @electricbrass, please test so that I can either close this issue or refine my approach.

There doesn't appear to be any difference at all.
