Is there a plan to make the code multi-threaded to allow for more pps to be generated?

Hi Eric,

Actually, there are no concrete plans. If you use larger packet sizes, typically the bandwidth is the limiting factor.
However, if you want to generate many small packets, it is possible to launch bonesi in parallel to enhance throughput. Please refer to this post.

I looked at that post and when I try to execute a second bonesi I get the following error.

Hi Eric,

I just tested on a Ubuntu 16.04 with your command line and it works like a charm when running the commands in parallel. When testing on a Debian machine I got the same eror as you got.

It took me some time but it looks like there is a problem when writing raw packets in parallel to a socket with the netfilter connection tracking code. I don't exactly understand why, but a simple solution is to just disable it with "rmmod nf_conntrack".
