Design: Stripe vs Lemonsqueezy vs Paddle

Trade-off:

• Stripe — lowest fees (~2.9% + 30c), but YOU handle VAT/sales-tax compliance. Painful for a one-person shop selling in EU/UK.
• Lemonsqueezy — Merchant of Record, handles tax compliance. ~5% all-in. Trades 2-3% for not having to file VAT returns in 27 countries.
• Paddle — also MoR, similar to Lemonsqueezy. Slightly higher fees but better UI for subs.

Lean: Lemonsqueezy until you have an accountant. The 2-3% premium is cheap insurance vs cross-border tax filings.

Decision needed before: Phase 3 checkout integration ships.
