MechaPwn won't boot

Issue: MechaPwn won't boot, versions 2.0 and below get stuck at the "Waiting for USB device" screen, newer versions boot into a black screen (some other homebrews also boot into blackscreens). Tried every elf file available on the "releases" section.

I'm trying to restore an NVRAM backup made years ago, I want to restore this console and start fresh with a recent MechaPwn version, or at least be able to update MechaPwn in any way possible.

FreeMCBoot installer won't boot (Black screen)
FreeDVDBoot is not working either (Won't read disc)

I'm using a memory card from another console with FMCB 1.966 Multi-Console option enabled.

Console: PS2 Slim SCPH-75004

Any help would be appreciated :)

Yes I did. I'm aware of the risks involved when using MechaPwn, but when I last modded this console a couple of years ago, that FreeDVDBoot issue wasn't mentioned, I don't mind though, it's not like I'm gonna be using it frequently.

At the end of the day, I just want to restore this console (if possible) and be able to run homebrew again with no issues, because at it's current state, the console seems to be on a "glitched" kind of state.

I found a "workaround" though, I managed to install OpenTuna on a memory card, and then, using that memory card I installed FreeMCBoot (multi-install) on a second memory card, and then, I got MechaPwn to run correctly.

So, the question remains: Now that I can run MechaPwn, Is there a way to rebuild an NVRAM backup or something to restore my console? I would like to start fresh (and updated) again.

if you still have the nvram backup that you created years ago, then yes, you can restore it into the console by using Mecapwn's restore NVRAM option when you launch Mechapwn.

just copy the .bin file to the root of the USB drive and use Restore NVRAM and it will reinstall your original NVRAM to the console, removing the exploit in the process.

I know, but Mechacon v6.02 could come with the 75k model PS2 too, it is not tied to the 70k models

Mechacon 6.02 is indeed tied to 70k and only to 70k as well as 6.00 and 6.04 mechacon.

Yes exactly, but now that I have a new FreeMCBoot memory card that's not an issue anymore.

I don't know, the console is connected to my CRT using component but the image looks fine, the console is from the PAL region and I live in an NTSC region, I managed to restore an old NVRAM backup but the image doesn't look distorted as it would normally look when there is a region mismatch (correct me if I'm wrong please)
