Description
File deletion in File Manager occasionally fails. The issue appears intermittently and may depend on where the file was originally created (e.g. in eSigner vs File Manager), but a clear pattern hasn't been identified.
When deletion fails:
- The UI shows a vague error message: “Failed to delete file”
- The API responds with HTTP 500 and a non-descriptive error: “Failed to delete file”
In some cases, the same file can be deleted successfully later without any obvious changes.
Steps to reproduce
Not stable / float.
Occurs during file deletion attempts in File Manager.
The issue may be related to file origin, file state (e.g. linked to signing containers), or synchronization between services, but requires investigation and logs analysis
Expected behavior
- Files should be deleted consistently when the user has sufficient permissions.
OR - Error messages should clearly indicate the reason for failure.
