Steps to reproduce

Whenever I try to play a DV file, I have to try multiple times until it pays correctly (sometimes it never does). Sometimes it opens to hdr, then sdr, then hdr again... Until it opens in DV and my TV detects it as DV. Sometimes the adding the subtitles breaks the play, sometimes they are not appearing and I need to close and open again so they show... It feels very random and with any DV movie. I can upload logs of them next time it happens if you want.

I upload now the one I just did from a movie that goes straight into hdr most of the time. Sometimes it plays into DV, but maybe 1 out of 10 times, the rest is mostly hdr. However this specific file always get infinitely loading at exactly the same point, at 16 seconds mark. Both in jellyfin and moonfin. But plays without stopping in my other platforms and local play.

I noticed that many times when I try to play a Dolby Vision WEB-DL, an infinite loading occurs and at the same time, on my Jellyfin server, a transcoding process with ffmpeg starts (even though the TV is capable of playing the media). So I simply "kill" the ffmpeg process and presto, magically the movie starts playing natively in 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos without any problem.

There seems to be some problem with the Dolby Vision detection in the app that causes the TV to fall back.
