What you're about to build
A test PCB with a simple microcontroller (e.g., RP2040), LEDs, an I2C device, and a couple ADC channels. This hardware will be used to validate the backplane connector standard, mounting hardware, structural design, as well as serve as a simple, replicable board that can be used in workshops to demonstrate KiCad, reading datasheets, and interacting with the project through GitHub.
Which requirement(s) does this satisfy?
N/A
Pre-work checklist
Open questions / risks
- Is the RP2040 suitable or should we use a different MCU?
- Which I2C device should we use?
- What should we sample with the ADC?
