Printer needs reboot after installing cosmos before being able to see wifi networks

Sometimes after power cycling the device, the WiFi settings show an infinite loading screen.

1. Power cycle the device
2. Open WiFi settings
3. Observe the infinite loading screen

I suspect a timing issue in the network service (similar to the themes sometimes turning red), but I haven't verified this yet.
The issue does not appear in my home network so that might rule out an Grumpyscreen issue.
When this happens, I also cannot access Mainsail.

But why won't it find networks? Isn't that also a bug?

You get this resolved? Having the same issues on 0.0.2, tried to update to 0.0.3 via usb and it's not doing anything. Tried the revert to stock button and it doesn't change

I managed to get mine working by turning the printer off for about 5 minutes then turning it back on. Not a permanent solution but beta problems right?

yeah i just did that a few minutes ago and that fixed it, do you know how to get the printer back to the old prebuilt software or update through usb

Ok we had someone with this problem and they had a new motherboard with a new wifi chip. I added a pr for this for docs but can you all check your boards?

the board revision code next to the touch screen cable ends in 2.084 vs 2.045 on the old board. the only example we have was produced in feb. can anyone with this problem please check and note what month the sticker on your board says if you have a new board?

I'm the owner of the grumpyscreen project and that wifi bug was reported by one user, and I myself cannot reproduce it. The wpa supplicant code is a bit of a black box and I don't entirely understand all that code. I would love to sort it out for the upstream project and opencentauri if there is anything we can do together to solve it?

I've had on OC problems that after power cycling it would forget my WIFi-password idk if that fits the symptoms of the issue.

So idk the exact channel but I haven't enabled channel 12/13 in the automatic mode
