Not a report of anything broken, just a feature idea / change for consideration.
I have been using a relay for a couple of years now based on a feature I have not seen in any other relay. The feature works as follows: The relay is assigned an "owner" who not only controls the state of the relay, they are also asked via the standard notification when an in-world object tries to take control of the relay.
In other words, if the relay is set to 'ask' mode, then instead of asking the wearer of the relay, the relay asks the registered owner as long as the owner is online and in the same region as the wearer. If the owner is not present then the relay asks the wearer, as normal.
I enjoy that feature and I believe that there would be sufficient interest in it to incorporate that behavior too.
One option would be to add another mode to the relay, entitled 'ask owner' or similar. Another option would be to simply change the behavior of 'ask' to assume that a collar wearer with a registered owner would want their owner asked first when scripted devices try to take control of the relay.
My preference would be for the mode to first check for registered owners and ask them if in the region. If none are available, then ask registered trusted individuals. If again none are available then ask the wearer. This may require some form of handling since it is possible that the wearer has multiple owners or trusted within the same sim. Perhaps the setup could be that in the event of multiple matches, it asks permission from the owner (or trusted if no owners present) who is located physically closest to the wearer.
Are these ideas reasonable and will they be beneficial changes or options for the typical user?
