imported BFO version

Situation before

• OTO currently imports https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BFO-ontology/BFO/v2.0/bfo.owl
  • this is the version of 2015-08-29
• OEO imports https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BFO-ontology/BFO/v2.0/bfo.owl
  • same version as OTO at the moment
• Resolving the BFO namespace yields https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BFO-ontology/BFO/v2019-08-26/bfo_classes_only.owl
  • the BFO namespace given in the BFO files is http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/bfo.owl#
  • this seems to be the released version of 2019-08-26
  • this version is also label BFO 2 similar to the imported ones by OTO & OEO

Discussion

The commit history between the two version mentioned above does not seem to include any (major) changes - it's mostly typos and documentation ( commit history )

So, I'd argue for including the last released also as served by the namespace.
This would make the import more consistent and I see no negative impacts coming from the commit history.

I agree that would make it more consistent. I added Mirjam and Ludwig, to do maybe a similar update in the OEO.

FYI there is an even newer version (BFO2020) which is also an ISO standard. We have not (yet?) changed the version in OEO, though.

If I understand Sirko correct, the main question is in the first place should we import https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BFO-ontology/BFO/v2019-08-26/bfo_classes_only.owl instead of https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BFO-ontology/BFO/v2.0/bfo.owl
in both ontologies.

The switch to BFO2020 is a separate issue, which requires careful analysis.
