Roadmap

Envisioned workflow:

1. Download and transform data
2. CML processing (using radar wet-dry, but maybe also other methods)
3. Radar-CML merging (using different methods from mergeplg)
4. Analysis

Each step shall be covered in one notebook. We might have separate notebooks, e.g. 2a and 2b for OpenMRG and OpenRainER.

Time planing:

• Nov 2024: Set up env
• Dec 2024: Set up step 1 of workflow in a reproducible way (by @cchwala in Set up data download and transformation for large datasets #3)
• Jan 2025: First version of processing, merging and analysis notebooks for step 2, 3, 4 in repo (@EliaCovi with help of @cchwala and @maxmargraf move to using mergeplg, @eoydvin adds what he currently already has based on mergeplg)
• Feb 2025: ...finalize everything 😉

Next steps based on discussion today:

1. @EliaCovi update with newest OpenRainER results (might be chanages in CML processing and merging notebook)
2. Do Update to new mergeplg and rerun merging notebook #11
3. Meet next Wed (12th May) Discuss state of results, and then do 4a or 4b

• 4a. Lookinto OpenRainER issues, see fix problem with OpenRainER radar-CML adjustment #10 (but maybe do to CML processing)
• 4b. Discuss next steps regarding analysis of results, towards writing paper
