When i launch the nitrox multi with Toootally not cracked subnautica it gets stucks at Warning and then never runs. the same not totally cracked sub works at windows.

I had this issue I solved it by editing the winecfg of proton for the windows version of nitrox (you don't lose anything not going native since the game needs proton anyways) to not include winhttp.dll (which enables mods) and including the library SystemWindowsControlsRibbon.dll I suppose you're running the windows version of nitrox through proton since for me the linux binary does not work

Hi, unfortunately I don't have much experience with Linux yet. I managed to play with my friend (who uses Windows 11) by installing the unofficial version of Subnautica on Steam, specifying in the properties that it should use Proton, and granting execute permissions (sudo chmod +x ...) to the launcher and the server (for Linux).

Any comments or requests for contributions that might help others are welcome. 🤗

this is what i've done but when launching for me it insists on running the game with the real appid (which obviously fails) it might be depend on whether or not a crack was applied I would like to know more about your setup (proton version, the appid of your non-steam game (visible with protontricks --gui), the download site and version of your subnautica installation, your distro and desktop environment)
