Local install not displaying a certain item

I've got a local install on Debian Trixie with the debian 4.1 package. It's mostly working really well.

I've got a callsign KK4SRB-11 that is not showing up on my map. When I search for it, I can see it's come in over APRS-IS, but I can't see it on the map. I'm using the filter the Default "APRS All" and it won't display. The weird thing, I can see it on aprs.no.

I can't find any filters in the config that will block it.
I don't see any errors in the logs, I've got debug and channel.logpackets = true.

This is for a 6th grade weather balloon science project. I was excited I found such a cool tool so they could watch the balloon and the chasers follow it.

Thanks for the feedback. It is cool to see. First it can be an idea to check the timestamp of the APRS reports or the clock of the aprsd server since positions older than an hour or so are not shown on the map. It seems like the timestamp of KK4SRB-11 is one hour off.

I also seems like your server shows timestamps in Oslo time, so I guess configuring the timezone is a good idea as well. It can be set in /etc/polaric-aprsd/server.ini.

I think we have the times corrected, but it is still doing the same thing. I can search and find it, if I click it in the search box it shows up with and X icon in the correct location. However it normally doesn't show on the map with all APRS.

I also set a long filter in the view profiles for over 24 hours, nothing there.

It seems the problem is that the time of the update is a day ago, the 27th. But on aprs.no or aprs.fi it is more recent. So, are some reports haven't reached your server?

Now, I'm not sure how you tried to configure the filter to show items up to 24 hours old? As far as I remember, what you can configure there is the age and the length of the trails.

Those are the same, but its not displayed.

I only see the trails in the view filters.

I have tried to log everything from aprs-is, but haven't found out how to do that yet.

some of my server.ini options:

This log file, channel.aprsIS.log, just shows that it connected to noam.aprs2.net

I see debug messages here, but now everything from aprs-is. aprsd.log

I have tried the DB plugin, but something in the package isn't setting it up correctly. I get a lot of errors in aprsd.log.

I see there are options to filter things out, but mine are all blank by default.

I also added /O and \O to the symbol.txt file to give it the icon.

I think my buddy changed his tracker config to kk4srb-7 and symbol /$. That's showing on my map. I'm checking to see if he changed it on the tracker. It's weird, because it looks like it should be working. He did not change the tracker, that's his phone.

Ok, there seems to be a bug in the software where the logging of packets are not turned on. I'll fix this in the next update.
