Chosen work split:

• keep Dev validation report: April 18, 2026 #22 as the report of record
• use one issue per validation finding
• rerun the smallest relevant gate after each fix
• reserve broader validation for after targeted fixes land

2. clone batch UI: keep active item and completed counts consistent during generation #24
3. sidebar startup: suppress stale engine error state on fresh launch #25
