Hi, promising repo here. Doesnt seem to work well by default with Revit 2022 for multiple reasons.
- Revit no longer includes owner history for items on IFC export, so that entirely functionality is lost if using IFC models from Revit. However, the merging functionality is what some desire alone (without caring about owner history at all--simply joining two models)
- Exporting from Revit as IFC Reference View will give errors regarding IndexedPolyCurve. However if you export as IFC Design Transfer View it will still give errors but at least will produce a complete merged model that looks good. This is promising.
- When exporting from Revit, IFC 2x3 schema is more reliable. I would like to modify this tool to support IFC2x3 but I am not clear on how the "IfcClass" files were generated? I assume you used the IFC-gen tool also on github but modified it for this project? can you share more details?
