Adding Filters with encoding.

Hello, thank you for making this script. It's been awesome with baking FEL into my encodes.

I do have a question in terms of encoding really grainy films with FEL (ie. Species and Species 2).

Is it possible to add a denoise filter like KNLMEANSCL within the workflow?

I use the 8-2-1 Workflow when encoding 4K with FEL baked in.
I adjust my settings in notepad++ and let it run.

Unfortunately, some movies need a light denoise in order to keep the AVG QP and size low compared to the source.

I can of course just encode this in Staxrip but I'd prefer to bake in the FEL.

Hi, you can use dovi_scripts to create the AviSynth script. Cancel the encode, go into the TEMP folder and import the script.avs in staxrip and use any filter you want there.

Will that will bake the FEL as well in Staxrip or do I need to add other plugins?

Yes, StaxRip is only a GUI. It does not alter the processing on its own; it simply encodes whatever the AviSynth script outputs. Any differences you see come entirely from how the script is written or configured, not from StaxRip itself.

So I tried this. I loaded it in DS > cancelled the encode as soon as it started > grabbed the script.avs file and loaded it to Staxrip.
Once loaded, source is the avs import script. There's no audio tracks, subtitles (not sure if this is correct).

If i try to add the Denoise filter or any filter, I get an error message stating can't load the DLL.

Any suggestions?

Disregard friend.. I got it to work after editing the script. My knowledge with scripts if very limited.
