Restoring cabin mouse-look.

Would it be possible to restore cabin mouse-look from Hard Truck 2 v5.5? I am baffled why devs removed it from KotR. It's probably just locked away somewhere in files. I hate that there is no in-between view when looking to the sides. Either full left/right or none at all. It works so smootly in v5.5 when driving with WASD and looking with mouse.

Yes, good feature to have. It's definitely possible, it even was implemented in SEMod long time ago. I'll try to add it when I'll be able (not in the nearest future due to extreme lack of time). There may probably be some other mods (similar to SEMod) that can solve the problem while such feature is not present in D2GI yet

Yes, indeed, I ported this functionality from 5.5 to 8.2. The mouse-based camera rotation feature was removed from the game starting with versions 6.x. Instead, the developers added code that automatically rotates the camera when the steering wheel is turned (disabled by default, but can be enabled by adding the turnHead=on parameter to the [CAR] section of the truck.ini file).

However, when using D2GI with non-standard screen resolutions, this restored functionality doesn't work quite correctly. The problem is that the game thinks it's running in 4:3 and incorrectly centers the mouse position, causing the interior camera to look sideways when attempting to center it. I was able to solve this only by adding hooks to all calls to center the cursor on the screen, but this is a very questionable and cumbersome solution that I strongly dislike.

If anyone is interested, I've uploaded the source code for mouselook mod. There are a lot of comments in the code, so I hope it is clear.
There are two versions: one is a full port of the code from version 5.5 to 8.2 (preserving the new features from 6.x), and the other allows you to look not only along the Z axis but also along the X axis (i.e., the camera is like in R'n'R/ETS 2).

UPD. If I remember correctly, in this code I slowed down the camera rotation speed compared to the original.
