How do you manipulate gpufreq_opp_freq and gpufreq_power_limited on GED Mediatek GPU?

I wanted to know, because I wanted to modify these flags manually but I don't know how to manipulate the value correctly for driver to change

Hi

To lock the GPU frequency using gpufreq_opp_freq, you can echo the frequency in kHz. You can get the frequency list from gpufreq_power_dump. To revert to the DVFS, echo 0 to gpufreq_opp_freq.

Things get tricky on gpufreq_power_limited because you will need to read the kernel source to see the setting flag to change certain feature. echo setting 1/0 to the node (1 to enable, 0 to disable).

In some configurations within the GPU folders, however, it's dangerous, since as soon as it's activated the GPU steals all the bus bandwidth causing a kernel panic. I tested it myself, and it happened

And these probably aren't global settings since they're very hidden within the folder, on other phones it might be more explicit.

There are also more MediaTek driver settings, however, enabling them can cause severe instability

If you want, I can find and test some hidden functions within the /sys and /proc folders, but only for modern MediaTek devices, and after testing I will share the results with you

I'll provide the file path (obviously), what it did, etc., and btw, I found a function earlier that allows you to disable anisotropic filtering and some other filters

However, I still haven't learned how to change parameters
