# CS2 MULTIPLAYER MOD NON-COMMERCIAL LICENSE v1.1

This license applies to the CS2 Multiplayer Mod source code, binaries, documentation, and other project files in this repository, unless a file states a different license.

## 1. Definitions

**"Software"** means this project and any copy, modified version, compiled binary, or derivative work based on it.

**"Project"** means the original CS2 Multiplayer Mod repository and releases maintained by the project maintainers.

**"Non-Commercial Use"** means use that is not intended for commercial advantage, monetary compensation, paid access, advertising revenue, sponsorship revenue, or other direct or indirect financial gain.

## 2. Permission

You may:

- use, inspect, build, run, and test the Software for Non-Commercial Use;
- create private local copies and private forks for personal use, learning, testing, backup, or preparing contributions to the Project;
- modify the Software for your own private use;
- submit pull requests, patches, bug reports, documentation, translations, or other contributions to the Project.

## 3. Redistribution

Public redistribution of the Software or any modified version is **not permitted** without prior written permission from the Project maintainers.

Without prior written permission, you may **not**:

- publish the Software or any modified version;
- create or maintain public forks;
- upload the Software or modified versions to GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, Bitbucket, or any other public code hosting service;
- redistribute source code or compiled binaries;
- mirror, archive, or re-host the Project;
- distribute modified versions under another name.

Private local copies and private forks used only for personal development or preparing contributions remain permitted.

## 4. Commercial Use Prohibited

Without prior written permission from the Project maintainers, you may not:

- sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or charge for the Software;
- charge for access to builds, downloads, source code, servers, support, or services based on the Software;
- distribute the Software through monetized download pages, advertisements, paid subscriptions, paid mod packs, or paid early-access systems;
- bundle the Software with a commercial product or service;
- use the Software or a modified version to promote, operate, or monetize a competing clone or rebranded version.

## 5. Attribution and Identity

You may not remove copyright notices, license notices, or attribution from the Software.

You may not use the Project name, logos, Discord, repository, release channels, or maintainer identities in a way that suggests endorsement, official status, or authorship that you do not have.

Modified versions must use a clearly different name unless the Project maintainers give written permission.

## 6. Contributions

By submitting a contribution to the Project, you represent that you have the right to submit it.

You license your contribution to the Project maintainers under this same license.

Unless separately agreed in writing, contributions are provided without payment, warranty, or obligation for the Project to accept or maintain them.

## 7. Third-Party Rights

This license does not grant rights to Cities: Skylines II, Colossal Order, Paradox Interactive, Unity, trademarks, game assets, or third-party code and content owned by others.

## 8. Termination

Your rights under this license terminate automatically if you violate it.

After termination, you must immediately stop using and distributing the Software and delete any copies you are not otherwise legally allowed to keep.

The Project maintainers may reinstate permissions in writing.

## 9. No Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, OR COMPATIBILITY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS, COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, MAINTAINERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, LOST SAVES, LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.

## 10. Separate Permission

For commercial use, public redistribution, public forks, rebranding, sublicensing, or any use not expressly permitted by this license, contact the Project maintainers for separate written permission.
