Choppy audio when using SensorTile with ST BLE Sensor app and Bluetooth speaker.

I'm using ST BLE Sensor app on iOS to stream audio from the mic on SensorTile in the BlueVoice screen. The iPhone (used iPhone7, 8 and XS) is also paired and connected to a Bose SoundLink mini speaker. The audio lags a lot and is choppy with lot of packet dropping when the phone is simultaneously connected to SensorTile and the Bose speaker. This problem doesn't occur with Google Pixel 3, LG Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy S9. In the iPhone case, if the phone is not connected to the Bose speaker, SensorTile audio is fine.

I'm wondering if this problem is specific to iOS or is it a problem in the ST BLE Sensor app for iOS or a hardware issue.

Hi Raviam,

do you have the same problem if you remove the bluetooth speakers?
I'm thinking that maybe they have a single radio for the speakers and the BLE and using it both at the same time you are loosing some package..

iOS has some more conservative settings about the BLE bandwidth, we are very near to the limit with the ADPCM audio..

Thanks for the response. We don't have the same problem if we remove the Bluetooth speakers/ headphones for the iPhones. On iPod 6, the problem appears randomly regardless if Bluetooth speakers are connected or not.

What might be a possible solution to this problem?

I'm getting the same issue. When playing audio without connecting to bluetooth earphone it works fine but when I connect it to bluetooth earphone the static sound is heard constantly. Is this iOS issue or ST ble sensor app issue?
Note:- I'm not getting any such issue at android side.

I'm also facing this issue. I'm trying to record the audio from STBLE APP which is live and I have also tried to Recorded via this code but getting same issue. getting choppy and in-consistent audio.
