Goal

Refine the solar-first energy policy and Wake-on-LAN diagnostic concept for Metis.

Scope

• Define static energy policy fields for early configuration.
• Document how Metis should decide whether waking a sleeping worker is justified.
• Add diagnostic expectations for unavailable Wake-on-LAN.

Acceptance Criteria

• Solar-first local execution is represented as a concrete policy.
• Sleeping high-draw workers have a documented wake decision path.
• Wake-on-LAN diagnostics identify missing MAC address, unsupported firmware and network constraints.

Migrated and split: https://github.com/SaJaToGu/metis/issues/7 — ethtool + Wake-on-LAN check on the first Ubuntu worker, which now also carries the wake-diagnostic checklist for the solar-first energy policy. The original energy-policy refinement scope is folded into the diagnostic checklist there. This AIS issue stays open until the user verifies the migration.
