Program CC2540

Hello.
I want to connect HM-10 directly to some kind of motion sensor or simply turn 1 led on or off. Do I need CC Debugger for that? Is it okay to buy noname cheap alternatives from eBay? I have already USB FTDI.

Hello,
Actually you have 2 ways to do it:

1. The HM-10 module comes pre-flashed with its own firmware. You can use an
   external MCU and control the BLE module via AT-Commands.
2. If you want to reprogram the module with your own firmware you need a
   cc-debugger or the cheaper SmartRF04EB.

In my opinion the first solution is faster and requires less efforts.

I tried SmartRF04EB clone with my HM10 board and it didnt work at all :-(

There are now CC-debugger clones on eBay for $16 US. So you would be better off buying one of those instead.
