Zipkin Tracing Support

Trace context propagation with Brave would be a nice addition. We already have an OSS project here https://github.com/SmartThingsOSS/smartthings-brave/tree/master/brave-sqs which has been used for other Ratpack apps.

Some changes will definitely be required and I think it makes sense to have separate libraries with Brave specific changes so uses can opt out of using Brave.

Does anyone have opinions on making this a multi module project vs a separate project with Brave integration?

My opinion would be to find a way to make the existing code pluggable so that you could mixin the tracing aspects, rather than making a completely new project.

That said, I don't really have a preference whether the plugins live inside this repo as a multi-module build, or each live in separate repos.

I like the multi module for this type of situation so its easy to run tests across both as they will most likely release together.
