Snapmaker laser/pen plotter

Is there potential for adding a feature that uses the laser module with a pen attachement. For pen plotting. When the laser is supposed to turn off to move to the next line there can just be a z hop. I guess the feature might work even better with the cnc module since it already has to z hop when moving.
