# Introduction

This manual is a support document for the IDFG PopR website, which was created to streamline the process of running population models including [IPM](#ipm), [Sightability](#sight), and [Survival](#surv), as well as a framework for uploading survey [data](#de).

At the top right of your page is a help toolbar. From left to right, the question mark brings you to the Speedgoat homepage, the little bug icon allows you to send a bug report to the speedgoat team, the lightbulb icon allows you to send the team an idea you have for a new feature, the broadcast symbol is a link to the speedgoat blog, and the lifering gives direct contact information for Josh and Paul.

Each tool has its own chapter, which includes an Overview, a Walkthrough, and a Reference page for each separate section within the tools. The Overview gives a general description of what a tool is and how it works, as well as hypothetical use cases for the tool. The Walkthrough is a step-by-step guide which explains how to load data and generate analyses with each tool. The Reference page gives a more detailed explanation of each page, as well as how to navigate the various menus.

Words that are [<b>green and bold</b>](#gl){style="color: #086e04;"} can be found in our glossary section at the end of the book, and words that are [<b>blue and bold</b>]{style="color: #196eb0;"} denote icon labels.
