Summary
Currently, the deconstruction planner cannot select fluids. The vanilla create schematicannon also cannot interact with fluids; however in creative it can, and can place schematics containing fluids in creative; apparently this has been a point of contention in Create's repo for a while. Basically, my point is that the schematic system itself already supports fluids, the create devs has just chosen to consider it out of scope. Which is fair, and it would be fair to also consider this out of scope. Creators-of-Create/Create#3577 Creators-of-Create/Create#9918 Creators-of-Create/Create#9240 . For some reason in survival I also can't create a schematic containing fluids, but again, the functionality is there already, it's just disabled
Motivation
I want to place fluids with my bees (for example, if I wanted to setup waterwheel power quickly via a blueprint). I want to be able to rapidly clean up water and maybe even lava and modded fluids with my bees.
Proposed Solution
Add an upgrade card to the portable beehive that gives it a fluid storage tank (which can be drained over an item drain by standing on it, or allow fluids to go into tanks held in the inventory. For the mechanical beehive, allow bees to place fluids in tanks that are connected with logistics ports; this could also allow the bees to do fluid logistics between tanks which would be nice.
Alternatives Considered
There really aren't any, you can't do this with create itself outside of something like a hose pulley, a vanilla sponge (which destroys the fluid and only works for water), or just manually moving fluids with buckets, so if I'm far away from my base or at least far from a source of mechanical power bees would be the obvious choice for this
