OT: An idea? A Matrix client.

It was just done for Kobos - maybe porting is not hard.
Having a Matrix client would remove the last reason for lugging a smartphone along besides my e-reader.

And something else: did you see this? Is that an API into your app?

The API looks not to be related to my app in any way, only both share the same name, thats all. Pocketpuzzles seems to be a webpage where new puzzles are posted daily.

This here is the basis for my puzzle app; it is a project started by the brilliant programmer Simon Tatham in 2004.

About the Matrix client: I only heard superficially about this, it looks like a chat client? Cannot promise if I have ever enough time to spare on a port; especially as it needs looking deeper into the PocketBook API for things how network socket access or an on-screen keyboard works.

Ah, all right.
Matrix is much more than chat, but it is best known as a secure, federated chat system. In Germany, it is the means of communication for the Bundeswehr, and is also used in hospitals and in schools. In France, it is the communication means for the whole government, and the NATO and many more countries and communities use it for official secure communication. (The USA presidential circle doesn't. 😉)
It is known for its interoperability (using so-called "bridges"), and is slated to be the official EU means of choice to make other chat systems talk together. So if, say, someone on WhatsApp wants to chat with people on Signal and Telegram, they will really all chat on Matrix, with the chat bridged to those other systems.
Github uses it too, by the way - Gitter is a Matrix server.

I myself use it because as a relationship counsellor I am bound to confidentiality, so using a truly secure system is a must, and because I have clients from all over the world, and being federated, countries such as China and Iran can't block it (without blocking the whole Internet).

Maybe the keyboard could be stolen from KOReader? Their programmable keyboard that recognises gestures (e.g. for accented letters) is in my eyes top of the bill. And FOSS.

Sorry to interrupt. But I am so grateful to @SteffenBauer for this application. And to expect that the same person will close all the other problems with the software on PocketBook is simply indecent. Sorry, I did not mean to offend anyone. Thank you for your work.

Well, I think we are fully on the same page here. I didn't intend to do anything more than field an idea (as I have before), and I did that because I certainly didn't get the impression that @SteffenBauer resented me doing so.
He clearly stated his limitations, which I understand and respect.
Knowing he also is playing with the idea to port Gargoyle or another IF client that needs a keyboard, I thought it could be useful to point to a way to get one - not for free, but at least for less work.

@SteffenBauer, if you prefer me refraining from further comments, please just say so. I'll still be very thankful for PocketPuzzles.

If it will not be misinterpreted.. I just read that, like others in Germany, the whole German government is switching to Matrix.
