Unable to SSH Into Provisioned Nodes from Rancher's Web interface

When provisioning a Kubernetes cluster through Rancher, the created nodes cannot be accessed via SSH - frm Rancher's Web interface. The nodes are successfully created in Proxmox, cal login with downloaded keys.

To Reproduce

Provision a new Kubernetes cluster in Rancher using the Proxmox machine driver.

Wait for nodes to be created and the cluster to initialize.

Attempt to SSH into any of the provisioned nodes.

SSH connection fails.

Expected behavior

I expected to be able to SSH into each node using the credentials or SSH keys configured in Rancher or the Proxmox template. SSH access should work similarly to other machine drivers or manually created VMs.

Can confirm this has always been the case for me as well. So far I just go through the promox UI, but that's not ideal especially for downstream clusters & users.
