Can't start the app

Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is: the app doesn't open. It cannot be launched from the software manager and not even from the terminal.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to terminal or programs
2. Click on Syncplay
3. App doesn't start

Expected behavior
App should start

Version and platform:

• OS: Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon 64-bit
• Syncplay version and build type: Syncplay 1.7.0+repack1-2ubuntu0.1 (from Software Manager); also happens with version downloaded from https://syncplay.pl/download/
• Media player and version: 3.0.20 Vetinari

I was advised not to download and install the tarball file as it could break stuff related to python on linux

This looks like it is the same issue as #723 which is that Syncplay 1.7.0 only work with Python 3.11. See that issue for a discussion about relevant workarounds.

Unrelated, but I also note that you are using VLC. We recommend that people use mpv instead for the best Syncplay performance.

Exactly the same issue for me on Ubuntu 24 (containerized). Installing newest version from there fixed it.
