Enabling WiFi on Watchy v1 leads to crashing

1. When WiFi is enabled on Watchy v1 in the WiFi Debug Menu , a crash will occasionally occur when sitting in the WiFi debug menu or leaving it.

2. When WiFi is enabled on a clean config with WatchDog enabled, the watch will crash when sitting on the WatchFace with WiFi on.

3. When WiFi Sync is enabled and WiFi is on (watch is plugged in), and watchdog is disabled, the watch will not crash when sitting on the watchface. However, the moment any button is pressed the watch will instantly crash.

I should add that all three configs mentioned above are with clean configs except for the WiFi Sync and WatchDog as mentioned.

The first coredump in point 1 says it's watchdog, please disable watch dog fully and don't show any logs and coredump with it enabled

Also don't use WIFI_SYNC at all for now until other issues are resolved (WIFI_SYNC makes wifi sync in the background when the charger is connected, until other issues are resolved, it's impossible to debug issues with it)

For now, Clean config, watchdog disabled and nothing more

That same crash in point 1 happens with or without watchdog. It will crash no matter what as long as WiFi in any form is on. I left watchdog on in point 1 because the clean config has watchdog, but it makes no difference. It will crash either way with the same error.

are you sure you are uplouding & recompiling the firmware correctly after changing stuff in config?

Yes, you're correct. It doesn't crash with that error on point 1 when watchdog is disabled. I audited what I did previously and I had built it but forgot to upload it after lol.

Anyway, it doesn't seem to crash when WiFi Sync is off and watchdog is off even when WiFi is enabled in the debug menu after.

Yes, everything seems to work.

If I enable WiFi Sync and disable watchdog and then sit in the WiFi debug menu I can trigger the crash in point 1 again with the same crash reason. It sits in the debug menu and doesn't time out and go back to the watchface, and when I push a button it crashes with the same reason.

ok, now enable WIFI_SYNC and keep watchdog disabled and trigger the crash, then logs + coredump (make sure the code is uplouded)

Another thing to check: set WATCHDOG_PRIORITY to 7, enable watchdog itself and check if it still crashes with watchdog reason (without SYNC_WIFI)

This is the crash with WiFi sync enabled and watch dog disabled while sitting on the WiFi debug menu. It takes a while to crash when doing this - probably at least 15 minutes.

• Now, WATCHDOG_TASK can be 1 and it won't crash (but WATCHDOG_TASK_TIMEOUT needs to be 0, it is 0 at default)
• As for the fix for wifi sync, maybe, try to crash it, if it crashes give me logs and coredump

It is still crashing with WiFi sync. Not sure about the watchdog. This is while sitting on the WiFi debug menu and pushing a button immediately after. It is a clean config with WiFi sync and watchdog enabled from the acc_things branch.

Crashes without WiFi Sync with watchdog enabled when wifi is enabled in the debug page as well.
