In the schematic, the final RC filters before the AIN inputs looks like so:
But the purpose and stated recommended front-end circuit has the resistors from AIN then the capacitors. These are there for isolating the sample/hold noise from the input (see "Input Filtering" in LTC2208 p.19 )
