You can no longer access the accessibility menu, and so ADB can't be enabled anymore... any ideas? maybe installing a fully custom android OS via the debug pins on the bottom ?

i should mention this, i'm using the google app on an iphone, is it reported to still work on android ? maybe this is just an apple thing

I have just reset one of my smart clocks and updated to the latest Google Home app (4.9.51.0). The Screen Reader function is still available and working. I am allergic to Apple products so I can't test the latest version there.

IT WORKED!

So the issue was: google home on IOS, after using and android phone everything worked as expected, would recommend to mention this in the documentation
