The recipient search from the GrantNav homepage, the recipient search mode and the recipient filter from the main search page all work in different ways making it hard for users to search for recipients where there are alternative names.
To Reproduce
Recipient search from homepage:
Example search "funders together" returns 1 org / 29 grants which is correct
Example search "London Funders" returns 2 orgs: the org called Funders Together because that's the new name for London funders, and a 2nd org called London Funders because an internal org ID has been used by a funder.
Recipient mode search from the main search page
Example search "funders together" returns no results - it appears it's only searching the published recipient name rather than other names or the official names
Example search "london funders" returns grants from the 2 orgs Funders together (although the grant recipient still states London funders) and the London Funders one with an internal org id
Recipient filter from the main search page
Funders together appear with the 29 grants but filtering to London Funder,s only the one grant with the internal ID shows
Expected behaviour
We would want users to be able to use the search bar to bring back recipients that match aliases/other names in the data, similar to how the recipient search from the home page works
