Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Thank you for contributing to Codehelper and related VeyrForge projects.

By submitting a contribution (including a pull request, patch, or other submission of code, documentation, or other materials) to a repository owned or maintained by VeyrForge, you agree to the following terms.

1. Definitions

  • You means the individual or legal entity submitting a Contribution.
  • Contribution means any original work of authorship, including any modifications or additions to existing work, that You intentionally submit for inclusion in a VeyrForge project.
  • Work means the project (for example, Codehelper) to which the Contribution is submitted.

2. Copyright license

You hereby grant VeyrForge a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute Your Contributions and such derivative works.

3. Patent license

You hereby grant VeyrForge a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Contribution(s) with the Work.

If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that Your Contribution or the Work constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this CLA for that Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

4. Relicensing

You grant VeyrForge the right to license Your Contributions under the project’s current license terms and under any other license terms VeyrForge chooses for the Work (including dual licensing and commercial licensing), without further approval from You.

5. Representations

You represent that:

  1. You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses.
  2. Each of Your Contributions is Your original creation, or You have sufficient rights to grant the licenses above.
  3. Your Contribution submissions include complete details of any third-party license or other restriction of which You are personally aware and which are associated with any part of Your Contributions.

6. Disclaimer

Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, Your Contributions are provided on an “AS IS” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND.

7. Acceptance

Submitting a Contribution constitutes acceptance of this CLA. If You are submitting on behalf of your employer or another entity, You represent that You have authority to bind that entity.
