# OpenDS: project.done
**Completion date**: 2026-09-15 (THE FINAL BLITZ; final commit of the
blitz train on main, all gates green, CI green, everything pushed).
**What shipped**
- Every ranked item of the final audit (audit-final/opends/
FINAL-REPORT.md, all 4 MEDIUM + 5 LOW lanes) executed: the CI
catch-up (ds1-patch gated, 3.11 leg, root ruff.toml pinning
0.15.20), the Phase 6 pick-box scar repair and the ratified
backlog dispositions folded, spec 6 rewritten to the shipped
gpl-asm stack, the patchnotes restructured into version/batch
headings, the comment-header de-versioning sweep, the seven
real-bug LOWs (each with a regression test), the docs-sweep box,
the em-dash/punctuation pass on all live prose, the GitHub batch
(SECURITY.md, dependabot, CI badge, SHA-pinned actions,
concurrency group, the v0.1.0 dispatch exception documented),
and the removal/housekeeping set (both removals on Brandon's
explicit go).
- Two latent census bugs fixed in the dead-trigger sweep tool
(gpl-disasm 0.8.1): pickup triggers were never counted (mnemonic
mismatch) and use-with rows were always skipped (wrong entry
parameter). Corrected census: DS1 1,539 registrations / 6 dead
(unchanged), DS2 1,915 / 39.
- **darkfix-ds2 v0.1.0, the first Wake of the Ravager fix**:
`fix.ds2.deadtriggers` repoints 27 of the 39 dead registrations
to each object's own working handler (P1 correlation dig +
P2 fix lane executed same-day on Brandon's conditional
ship-ahead); 12 rows left with no statically provable handler.
ds2-patch/scripts/ bootstrapped with the DS1 applier copied per
patch (Brandon's call).
- **darkfix-ds1 v0.1.1**: the hardened applier (pending-journal
recovery, composition refusal, atomic journal writes, torn-
journal remedy, empty-enabled-set refusal, truthful --status)
shipped to players.
- Tool releases: gpl-disasm 0.8.1, gpl-asm 0.9.2, verify-install
0.3.1, exe-patch 0.1.1, opends 0.1.1. All seven releases live on
GitHub; both darkfix zips attached by the release zip workflow
with their sha256 quoted in the notes; darkfix-ds1-v0.1.0's
notes retrofitted with its live asset's hash.
- GitHub presentation batch executed (description de-asterisked,
4 topics added); CONTRIBUTING.md written (Brandon's go); the
install-variant refusal policy documented (Brandon's call);
spec 14 resolved: patches are MIT, LICENSE staged into both
patch dirs and the zips.
**Reopen conditions**
1. **The gated hands set** (Brandon's calendar, unchanged):
played-save sessions for the scene-level behavioral proofs
(darkfix-ds1's Darkhold scenes; darkfix-ds2's affected-object
scenes: the Limbo prop, the VA Headquarters creatures, the Tyr
encounter), the DOSBox capture calendar, GF[395] (stays parked
until a played-save session attaches a symptom), and the
real-Windows applier run (the open half of Phase 6's applier
box).
2. **The 12 unshipped DS2 dead rows** (recorded in
ds2-patch/fixes/001-deadtriggers.md): two pickup rows on -900,
one look row on -1922, two use rows on -2975, seven use-with
rows in GPL-98; promote when a played-save session or a deeper
dig gives any of them a provable handler.
3. **The recorded feature board** (roadmap audit block, P3-P8):
DS2 party edit-surface verification + cookbook entry (P3),
set-up-repro-fixture.md (P5), DS2 StartCycle init site (P6),
DS1 final-battle variant-1 dig (P8).
4. **First/last-wins registration semantics**: still an open
EXE-side question; both shipped fixes are no-op-or-restoration
under either. A debugger session settles it.
5. **Workflow quirk**: darkfix tags must be pushed individually
(a multi-tag push triggered no tag runs; release.yml carries
the note and the dispatch path is proven).
6. **Lens 8 watch-item**: the Rust toolchain floats (@stable)
while ruff is pinned; pin rust-toolchain.toml if rustfmt ever
diverges.
