Unable to set resight between manual object and ai generated object

Hi Martin,

I have been working with Chris Cleguer to incorporate our AI model results to WISDAM. Everything works fine to do the AI import. However, we noticed that if we add a manual box around an animal on one image which was missed by the AI but same animal detected on other image by the AI we cannot assign those two to the same resight set.
Would you be able to fix that when you are able?

Another little thing which would be handy is to be able to bulk review the AI detection once they are imported and add to the project. Right now you have to manually click on every single one and fill the detection info to have them fully activated for export. It would be nice to be able to quickly select them all set them all as "reviewed" in one click for quick check and export.

Hallo Lucas,
the first issue is connected to the second. If an AI object is imported, it has not meta data structure assigned. Only if you open once an AI object with the inspector and save it, it will have a valid meta data structure and can be mereged with other objects to resight-sets.

It would be possible to bulk assign meta-data to AI objects. But as for the first topic this would also need some internal disucssion if that should be allowed. The metadata is very object specific and once you bulk assign it, currently there is no way to get info which one was part of that bulk assign. So we probably need to add some flag, one knows later which object was actually never inspected by a person. Another option would be to export the imported AI detectionss on its own. That implementation would be a quick solution.

Which version you are using. Imported AI objects are already exported even if not reviewed.

I agree with your first issue and this is something we're going to implement. We need to be able to identify sightings within an image that have been sighted by multiple sources to ensure they are only counted once. My thoughts are that this could by done by merging sightings within the ‘resight’ framework, or by having a similar mechanism but which is called something like ‘match’ to acknowledge that it’s not a ‘resight’ but actually the same sighting seen by two sources (manual + AI or reviewer1 + reviewer2). This might be easiest for the user to implement from the Compare page. Then when exporting, you’d need to select ‘first certain only’ and ‘single export per match’. Not sure if the latter idea is more complicated. If so, we should stick to merging via the resight framework!
