Add Current Transition to Scene Item Visibility transition options

Scene item transitions are a great option, but they are missing certain options that scene transitions have. Especiall the Current Transition option for transition dropdown, which is extremely useful if you have a flow that changes transitions.

"Wait until transition finishes" option is also missing, but not that important to me personally.

So you just use the 2nd checkbox for duration? Or how does it differentiate between no transition and no change?

Anyways, I tried that and it didn't work. The current transition only works if I tick "Set transition to" and choose it (leaving blank doesn't work either). Otherwise no transition happens at all.

If I just want to change the duration but not the transition type I just select the duration-specific checkbox.

If I want to change the transition type as well as the duration I check both.

If I want to use whatever is already configured for that source ("current transition" and "current duration") I select neither.

For Hide it actually doesn't seem to work at all in this case, unless I'm misunderstanding something about item transitions. But Show works if I select the current transition manually.

And some more weirdness - if the volume bar keeps going down on the condition, the Show one doesn't work either. It works only when the volume bar drops visually to 0

I assume that would be equivalent to choosing "Cut" as the transition type.
But I guess I could try to add another option for "No transition" or something like that, if you think that it will be useful.

I guess it might be a timing issue due to the transitions taking a while to complete.
Maybe you can add a "And music is visible on overlay-regular" condition to your "Music started" macro to prevent that or drop the "Perform actions only when results changes" and instead always execute the actions.

I changed both to Always and that didn't change anything - as mentioned, the actions are executed (group of items is shown/hidden as on GIFs), just the transitions parts of those actions aren't. Don't know what you mean by condition - did you mean "not visible" for "Music started" and "visible" for "Music stopped"? Then that also didn't change anything.

And for hiding it gets never executed, even if I wait like 10 minutes.

I don't understand what the issue might be.

Seems to work just fine after importing your macros (and slightly adapting them).
Can you maybe try a different transition type just in case it somehow related to Regular move?

I think the issue seems to be with one of the sources in the group rather than groups like I though while typing previous comment. I tried with 2 other single sources (camera, text) and they worked fine. I tried with another group and it worked fine.

This is how the group looks:

It has Waveform and Tuna plugin sources, which I suspect might be the issue. I'll try to move some of these away temporarily to see if that helps.

Well, no, I tried moving Waveform and Tuna out of it and still nothing. I also tried removing spaces from the names as this can sometimes cause issues, but also no. I'll try it on clean profile during weekend to see if that works.

And while the above concerns the hiding and timing issues on one group, the initial reported issue of no Current Transition option exists for me on all sources/groups - I verified at least 5 of them now, in different actions, and all of them have no transition when "Set transition to" is unticked. No matter if I choose Regular move or e.g. Fade. So not sure why you got different results. I am using latest version of the plugin from Releases here.

It seems a bit redundant to query the current transition just to set it to the same value again, but I will add it, in case I missed something which helps in your scenario.

Maybe just to avoid a misunderstanding:
With "current transition" you are not referring to the global OBS scene transition - i.e. obs_frontend_get_current_transition, right?
You are also referring to the scene item specific show / hide transition - i.e. obs_sceneitem_get_transition, correct?

Ah, I see the confusion now. I am referring to the global OBS transition, as in scenes, yes. Not the Show/Hide transition which is another thing that could be called "current transition", I forgot that even exists, unless it's a new feature. To have it consistent across everything.

As there are a lot more options for the item transitions and also "None". The list currently shown is for global OBS transitions, yet the default transition is a pick from that dropdown :P

• add "Current OBS (or Scenes?) Transition" as one more option that would set it to the globally used transition as per my original unclear suggestion
