this just broke my touchpad driver on opensuse

using gnome btw. I dont know how, but my touchpad doesnt work any more after it asked me for root perms, multiple reboots later, nothing. and i don't remember how to check if my touchpad is even being detected or if the driver is even being loaded. pls help

nevermind, although it did disable my touchpad in gnome and since i had no trackpad, i couldnt get to the setting because a pop-up for the default keyring needs to be clicked on every time i boot. eventually i got it to work after it went to sleep and auto closed the popup. its still an issue i hope no one ever has because that was super annoying

opensuse tumbleweed most recent update, kernel version 6.2.8-1 default, wayland gnome 44.0, radeon integrated graphics

it looks like from my diagnosis, like it shuts off the touchpad, and if you press any key (besides clicking on the touchpad) it won't turn it back on automatically. so hope you dont get any popups, and that you can navigate to the touchpad settings with a keyboard.

also, even more curious is that one time when i pressed a key to close the window and my mouse couldn't move with one finger. But it could if i used two. Even more confusingly, scrolling had changed to three fingers, and gestures to four. It's almost like all of the x number of finger actions were incremented up somehow. a reboot fixed this specific aspect of my problem.
