I think it would be nice to have an option like this. Right now, interfaces and menus just disappear abruptly, and there's no way to make them animate out smoothly.
And what do you think about adding an animation for the HUD appearing and disappearing when pressing F1?
I also noticed that the inventory doesn't open as smoothly as everything else. The background dimming appears instantly (at least in the Creative inventory). It might even be nice to have an option to disable that dimming everywhere.
I'm not sure if it's worth suggesting, but I'll mention it anyway - maybe add animations for Sodium's new options screen as well?
Also, it feels like the button elements themselves are animated with a slight delay. It's especially noticeable if you set their default starting opacity to 1.0.
