Add changelog to Mobile app > Settings Menu

@ppanchal-argus can we add a changelog under the settings menu of mobile app - where we can put a simple bulleted list of latest fixes/updates in most recent bundle and/or APK? the design would ideally allow for the changelogs for bundles and apks to be viewed separately e.g. on different tabs

@delcroip can the bundle changelog text be packaged somehow within each L3? i can provide to you ahead of each prod release

@rukshn did work on the change log for the IG, we will have a look if this is available in the bundle

@delcroip Currently there is a change log page generated in the IG. The page is generated from pyfhir. But it is not included in the bundle.

I think the changes could be to populate the meta element in the Bundle resource. But since Bundle is not a Base resource that lacks the text element. And therefore I think we will have to include an extension for the Bundle that will allow us to add some text/markdown so that can be used by the application.

no we should not use the bundle because we use it at a transactional resource (not saved)
there is other possibility (none are perfect):

• a codesystem : che-version (prefered approach, the L4 could display only the delta)
• extend Basic to make a changelog https://build.fhir.org/basic.html

I was thinking about this, after posting my initial comment. I think we should only include what are the changes for that specific build within the bundle, and not the whole change log from the beginning.

I think it would be an anti-pattern to include the change logs in a build/fhir, and also the bundle will also increase in size of the fhir bundle if we include the change log as fhir resources in the bundle.

Maybe it will be better to include the change log at the APK and not in FHIR resources, or use an alternative approach such as displaying the change log displayed in the IG as a webview etc.
