I can not find the kernel folder

Hello, I wanna test the project but I can not find the kernel folder said in README.
I find it in commit history, but I'm not sure is it a right one.
Or can I just use the EVM code in go-ethereum in https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/tree/master/core/vm ?
Can you push the kernel to the repository?
