What is the problem this request aims to solve?
My below observations are based on fact that I'm not native speaker, so some meaning of words might be not so obvious to me.
When I've seen "Customise" option in prefabs, I thought that it allows user to customize that asset and keep those changes in own local "Prefab Library" between project.
However, seems that it's BEST way to add asset into project (reference it), instead of "Duplicating into Project" and I would say that's better function.
However, seeing those two next to each other "Customise" and "Duplicate into projects" even deepens my impression, that one of them applies changes to Prefab Library, not project, and only latter one allows to use asset in Project, as only one of those entries directly says that.
How do you suggest we solve this problem?
Rename "Customise" to:
- "Customise in project"
- "Reference in project"
- "Use in project"
- "Link in project"
Are there any alternative ways to solve this problem you want to suggest?
That yellow prefab icon is AWESOME!
If it could be a part of prefab asset menu, it would better indicate, that this one "references" asset into project, without making physical copy.
