just searching on google for it brings me to
https://zaparoo.org/docs/platforms/mister/launchers/#retroachievements

which i used as "this is of course how i do it" but didnt feel clear at all, between that and the page on setting launcher.default, i thought it was something i had to do manually. I didnt see it was an option in the UI itself

not sure where to ask this, but how do i set the Zaparoo front end to use the RetroAchivements cores by default. Trying to follow the documentation isnt getting me anywhere, i added the settings suggested in the doc to the config.toml but it doesnt work still. Any ideas what i may be doing wrong?

You should be able to do it from the frontend itself. You can remove those from the config and in the frontend if you focus a system and press options there should be a change launcher item. Can you not select the RA launcher from there?

i had no idea i could do that from the front end, ive been diving into config files lol. I just tried it and it works. Thank you very much

you're welcome. any idea how i can make these things more discoverable? you're not the first person to be digging into the config file. i actually have this stuff documented on the site as well but i guess it's not easy to find from wherever you start visiting
