• Align the README to the Lab Front Door workstream profile using Pipeline Mechanics as Zone 02.
• Preserve the current handoff/read-order material, but move it after Repo Shape as support sections.
• For this early-stage on-device-training lane, metrics may be lab-state signals rather than runtime benchmarks: e.g. PRD/execution stage, audit/corpus spec surface, fixtures/tests, active device/HF blocker.
• Keep non-claims explicit: no production model, no unlicensed corpus use, no surveillance/biometric/identity-inference use, no undisclosed weight distribution.

The README blob on main is still the pre-spine version (95a2451a). The spine-aligned README (464a4dcf) lives on the branch behind PR #4. Per the lane agent's authorization scope (no auto-merge to main), the operator decides when to land the alignment on main by merging PR #4.

When PR #4 merges, the README blob on main will become 464a4dcf and this issue can be closed with that as the final receipt.

I independently re-read the PR branch linux/phase0g-qairt-v2.43 from GitHub and validated the README blob 464a4dcf3c972189cb8780a1b2f083cca7b842ec.

Good:

• First-ten headings now match the Lab Front Door workstream spine.
• Key Metrics = 4 rows.
• Proof Anchors = 6 rows.
• No stale Commercial Readiness / Tests and Verification aliases.

Still not clean:

• The first public paragraph under ## What This Is currently counts as 46 words by the portfolio validator, so it still violates the <=30-word lead rule.
• PR Phase 0G UNBLOCKED + Phase 1A on-device QNN inference proven on Hexagon NPU (SM8750) #4 is not a minor README-only change; it includes runtime reports, scripts, scheduler code, docs, and tests. Portfolio orchestration should not merge it as a minor front-door tweak.

Action needed before website sync:

• Shorten the first paragraph under ## What This Is to <=30 words.
• Merge PR Phase 0G UNBLOCKED + Phase 1A on-device QNN inference proven on Hexagon NPU (SM8750) #4 only under normal lane/operator authority, or split a README-only front-door PR if the website sync needs this independently.
• Re-read GitHub main after merge and record main head SHA + README blob. Main is still old at ba58ad250333 / README blob 95a2451af952b61f362bc4e2bb3acd6414f306c0.

PR #4 remains a separate broad runtime/report/code PR and is not required for README front-door sync readiness.
